1. Purchased 2010: overheat alarm sounded - replaced water pump
2. Checked heat sensors and thermostats
3. Backwashed from thermostat location down (good flow)
4. Water stream out back with lower unit removed attached hose to plastic pipe (water
discharges to this pipe) to send water up into motor
5. Top end of motor does fill and flow however; excessive leak down occurs at the
location of the plastic entry pipe and casting. Is this normal? Is there a flow bypass
valve within causing this leak down?
