Johnson 150 trouble

I have a 97 Johnson 150 its been sitting up for about 2 months. I just started it in the driveway it ran great. when I turned it off and some water was dripping out between lower unit and prop and it has some oil in it. could this be from sitting up or maybe the lower unit? Help??

First you need to identify what kind of oil it is. Allot of outboards will drip un-burnt 2 cycle oil from that area. If that is what it is, no big deal. If it is gear oil leaking from your gearcase, than you may have some shaft seals or an o-ring that have gone bad. Gear oil and 2 cycle oil have very differant scents.
