Engine Swap Question

I posted in "pontoon section" this question, and was referred to Mercury/Mariner section. I'm looking at a 1995 Suntracker pontoon boat with a 70hp Force engine, the power head on the Force is bad. I do have a 1985 75hp Mariner and was wondering if the controls would just swap out together since they are close to the same hp and their both made by Mercury.

Engine age difference may be the factor here "yes/no", I don't know.
