Back then they didn't have one. As I recollect OMC came out with it first and later on Merc incorporated it. If it has one (but it doesn't) it would be on the starboard side of the engine and would be a rubber tube sticking out of a 1/4" hole (thereabouts) drilled in the cast aluminum cowling about half way between the top and bottom of the casting located "abaft the beam" if you will....out the rear of the cowling, but not so far back that you can't see it from the helm.
You can make your own by drilling and tapping a 1/8" pipe thread into the rear of the water jacket cover...the flat plate that the plugs are sticking through. Install a 1'8" pipe to hose barb connector in that hole and connect a suitable sized hose to the barb. Drill a hole in the location mentioned to suit the hose you selected, stick the hose through it and cut off any external excess beyond the cowling and you are there......1/8 in protrusion will work.
I have done what I just told you and it works just fine.
