1989 evinrude 60hp misses at high rpms

hello could any one help me this motor runs good at like 4 on the tac but if you try to give more fuel it hickups at like 4 1/2 up to 6 rpm but sometimes it runs fine with no proplems at all any help would be great thank.

Use a timing light to check spark on each cylinder when it misfires. If the spark is ok, try squirting fuel mixture into each carb and see if you have a carb with a high speed problem.

thanks i will try that . but it will rev up fine it only misse when u are going down the lake .

You will have to check it while it is acting up, someone will have to run the boat for you while you do the testing.
