I own a 91 Cobia Monte Carlo. I love it. The previous owner took really good care of it. Not knowing anything else about the boat the price seems high.

I had a friend back in the late '60's with one. Seemed to be a nice boat and performed well.

On deck rot, for many years, wood was the decking material used on FG boats and FG or just resin was placed on it to seal it. Seemed you couldn't get wood to restrain from rotting so not too long ago, boat builders, one by one, started eliminating wood from their boats and some today have no wood.

If your boat has no wood then deck rot will not be a problem. If you want to know if it does or doesn't contact Cobia Boats, Customer Service and ask about your year/model and see if it has wood in it.....just because it is there however, doesn't necessarily mean it is rotten....usually rotten wood is caused by the owner/operator's neglect.

Sorry if I step on toes, but it is true.

I have to give a thumbs up to Cobia boats, I had one sink on me (my fault, I didn't have the auto bildge pump hooked up) and after raising it, drying it out and cleaning it, she was as good as ever and I kept her for another 5 years.
