I have a 1977 470 with a fuel filter mounted on top of the fuel pump. It is a cartridge type filter with a metal canister surrounding it. I would like to get this filter locally at a NAPA store and was wondering if anyone had the NAPA part # handy. 30435S was stamped into the filter if this helps any.

Thanks

Re: fuel filter

I might just install a clear plastic fuel filter
don't do that unless your talking about a fuel/water separator. generally speaking a inline fuel filter won't meet uscg standards. it would be an fire/explosion hazard. get the proper parts and be happy... i mean it's only a $14 item if ya get the oem one. pretty cheap for marine parts really. and that statement comes from someone who is almost too poor to afford to be into boats.. me..
