I have a 1985 Chris Craft scorpion 210 bowrider with a lot of play in the steering.I am constantly counter steering to keep her straight. Is there some cable adjustments i could do or is this something the shop will have to take care of. Any wisdom would be appreciated:)

Re: To much play in the steering

First off, V-hulls tend to wander at low speed, it's just the way they are. Also have the rubber engine mounts checked out, when they go bad it causes the engine to wander and makes stearing at any speed a pain. If this is a standard teleflex system, I don't think there is an adjustment, I could be wrong though.
