Just some good advice: When you buy a used boat/motor, make damn sure the seller hasn't put Marvel Mystery Oil or something like that in the cylinders to temporarily regain compression long enough for you to "test" it in the lake. That happened to me. Oh, it ran like a sewing machine there for a few trips, then cylinder compression on #1 went from 105 to 70. Other 2 cylinders also dropped about 10 psi. Took the head off today to take a looksie..... cylinders scared so deep that boring them out to .060 wouldn't even take care of them. Now I want to hire a hit-man on this dude. Oh well, you live and learn. By the way, looking for a GOOD 60 - 75 horse outboard in Louisiana for sale... so let me know.
