Alright,

so iv got a two man bass hunter and i want to put in new regular boat seats. The original seats are lost. i want to be able to swivel but sit up off the water.... any ideas?

I made these outa PVC pipe. Cost less than $5.00 Bought the seats off Craigslist for $50 and sewed the new covers myself.

thanks for the tip GREAT idea! but how did you attached the wood top to the pvc?

If you look CLOSE on the corners there are 1/4" stove bolts drilled into the wood and down thru the elbows of the PVC. Real EZ to do.

It took less than an Hour to build. All parts readily available at Lowe's

10' of 1" Schedule 40 PVC
8 90? Elbows
8 "T" 's
Cleaner and Glue

Bottom is 18" square. Top is 9" square

8 - 81/4" pieces for base
8 - 4 1/4" pieces for top
4 - 10" pieces for risers
Dry assemble first and mark pipe at all junctions of elbow fitting for angles of "T" 's for risers. Disassemble and glue base and top up and set "T" 's to the marks made on the pipe. Then glue in the risers. Cut wood piece for top. Coat with epoxy and drill holes in corners for 1/4" Stove bolts. Use Lock nuts to attach.

I don't have a use for this right now but I printed a picture and the parts list for when I do. They may well end up as extra seats in my 18 SS.

i built mine today. they look great. ill post the pics soon. but i did my bases at 22" and 12" with 14" pieces for cross bars

Here is mine- I had to beg the wife for the half broken kitchen chair. She finally gave in!
