Hello there, I have an 89 Regal 19' open bow with a 4.3l 2bbl. When I got the boat 7 years ago it easily did 40-43 mph. It sits in the water all summer and gets acid washed in the fall. Early in the year, the boat may go 33 mph with 2 people in it, of course as the gunk builds up it slows down during the summer. My neighbor just got a 96 rinker 22' open bow with the same engine (no fuel inj) that goes well over 40. I have never changed the prop, not sure of pitch but it's a stainless. I can get up on slalom behind it but it is tough, when I am being pulled, my wife has WOT and might get 28 mph. any ideas?
