Hello I am really confused now. The diagram for the 1970 looks different to the one I have. The one rad looks ok but the other one looks short. I don't know if it matters but it is a Kiekhaefer, not use if it is different. tks

Dave;

Don't understand the term "rad". What section and item number are you referring to?

Hello the diagram for the 1970 bottom end shows a short shift shaft, and the one I have is long. So I am not sure what year it is, on the chart I looked at I thought it was a 70 but it different so now I don't know. thankyou

Dave;

First thing is to try and keep all of your posts concerning this problem in onethread. It makes it very difficult to follow you when you are posting in two different threads.

The parts list which I sent you is correct for your engine and don't just concentrate on the picture. Looking at item 14, shift shaft, scroll down to the identification of item 14 and you will see that the shafts are s/n dependant. For your s/n, you would require P/N 54641A1.

Here is a description of the shaft for one that is available on ebay:

Hello Gerry, sorry about that. I am not too savvy in forums. I thank you for letting me know what I am doing wrong and I will try and follow the rules. Also thanks for the info. Dave
