92 mariner 75hp no spark

Hi folks have a 92 mariner 75hp it dont have any spark disconnected the black and yellow kill switch wire and tried too start still no spark. unplugged the main wiring harness and tried too start by jumping acrossed the solenid and it still wont start. any other information and help would be grateful for.it does turn over just fine.

Download the free Ignition Troubleshooting Guide found on the Support page of CDIElectronics.com

Their detailed guide will walk you through all the tests necessary to determine the source of your problem.

You will need a DVA meter or a DVA adaptor for any standard volt/ohm meter. An adaptor can be built quite cheaply following the directions posted somewhere here in the Merc forum. Sorry, I haven't saved a link to that thread, you will have to use the search feature.

Do NOT order any NON-returnable electrical parts until DVA testing has PROVEN what is at fault. Repeat your tests to be sure of the results.
