Replacing oil pan

I am replacing a rusted oil pan. As I removed the old pan, I notice that there is some type of grey sealant (silicone?) used in conjunction with the pan gasket. My manual doesn't specify any other sealant. Do I need to use any other sealant? If so, what kind?

Here ya go. This is from the OEM manual...... Well actually a year newer. Same info, just a clearer picture.
