water pump hard to find

<br />; the parts guy wanted to sell me the same looking pump for a car but it had a different impeller on it,,,i almost bit because of the fact it would never tuch the saltwater ......any way this waterpump is hard to find.......do they go bad ,can it be rebuilt for a savings....etc

What you need to do is get away from the auto prarts stores to get marine parts.<br />You don't have to get in saltwater to cause problems, brackish water will do the same thing and leave you with major problems if you have the wrong parts on your engine.<br /><br />PS: Make your pictures smaller, they don't need to be that big.
