Motor: 1990 Black Max 175. Thought my "off idle" miss was fuel related, but now find I am only running on cylinders 1,3,5. WhenI disconnected 2, and 4, and 6, there was no change in rpm.s. Obviously running poorly. Disconnect 1,3, and 5 separately and engine dies, or almost dies. In tracking down the electical test according to Merc manual, I metered the stator and trigger. On stator, I get no conductivity on the listed tests. Should be reading in the 4k ohm range. On trigger test, same thing. Please confirm that this sounds like I have burned out the stator and trigger. The meter is good. Just need some input before I pick up a flywheel holder to remove the flywheel and begin the removal.
