Johnson 2000 J90PLSIF Check engine light and audible alarm sounding

Original engine was oil injection. Had engine rebuilt three years ago and oil injection system was removed. Now mix oil and gas manually. On start up, audible alarm sounds for one second followed by 5 to 8 second continous alarm. Check engine light comes and and remains on. Engine runs well aother than this. Problems started this year.
