pitch question

1972 merc 402 40hp. i need to replace my prop. the number on the hub is "p14 614cup". im assuming the pitch is 14 but dont know the diameter cause the blades are ground off a little. think it hit a submerged road bed. if anyone can give me info on this number that would be great. also if i go to a stainless prop do i have to change pitch? S# is 3407786. thanks y'all

Just look up a 14" cupped prop for your motor the diameter will follow based on the prop makers design.Changing to ss introduces more variables.
If you read the stickies at the top of the page and get us as much info as possible we may be able to suggest a ss prop.
