I've been searching the forum but can't find a good answer, first off I'm new so thanks for all the help that you can give me. Took on a project boat that my uncle has just let sit. I done lots to the engine to get it to start, turns over and fires up no problem. Now I have arrived at my final issue, the trim.
Specs: wellcraft 190 classic, 4.3 mercruiser with the alpha one outdrive with the power trim XD trim.
Replaced the battery, it is brand new. Press the trim buttons and nothing. So I replaced the in line fuse and now I can at least hear the motor, but only when I press the down trim. Keep in mind that I can freely pick up the outdrive and mov it, so i think that means there is no fluid in the lines.
From here I was thinking of checking all the wires and connections, add fluid, and see if that works. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
