I was going too fast when I shifted and didn't get the Indicator lined up completely (was halfway between gears.) Grinding noise, and now won't start, can't pull starter cord, it's bound up. What have a done!!.....and how can I fix it?

I would start by dropping the lower unit and trying to spin your flywheel CLOCKWISE a few times by hand. If it rotates the motor isn't seized. You can also rotate the drive shaft clockwise by hand to see if it spins. That should give you some good info. Keep us posted.

DISSCONECT the plug wires, and try moving the prop and shifter handle and the same time, be firm with the prop, move it both directions firmly and try slight pressure on the shifter. i do repeat tho....pull the plug wires! you dont want your motor to start while you have your hands around the prop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
