Theft lock

I bought a used boat that has lock on power trim, i have to remove the lork to put boots on it, called old owner up to see if has key, well guess what no key. Any ideas to get key off

I'm not familiar with locks on power trim. What kind of lock? You mean like a pad lock or a build in lock mechanism? If its a pad lock, get a set of bolt cutters, otherwise, call a lock smith.

If it's one of those that look like a piece of pipe instead of a nut, you can crush it with a big pair of vice grips and unscrew it that way. I had one of those on my motor bracket, PITA!

Hey Williams, I had a outboard lock that I lost the key for. Took it to a local locksmith and he had it off and a new key made in about 15-20 minutes.
