I have a 2001 Tige 20i with a Mercruiser 350 Mag MPI motor. I started having problems starting the boat that appeared to be a weak battery. The battery was replaced and everything was fine the first couple of times I started the boat. It has again started acting as if the battery is weak but the battery tests fine. When you turn the key over the engine barely truns over. There is no clicking just a weak turn over. Any thoughts?

What is the voltage on the battery while cranking?
Use a test meter and hook it right to the battery, and have a helper crank the engine, read the voltage within a second or two of starting to crank the engine.

It kind of sounds like the battery may be going down normally, but not charging back up.

If the battery is testing fine and you feel like it you can take the starter and alternator off . Take them to auto parts store they will test them. Good luck
