ignition problem

hey guys,
I have a 1995 290 sundancer. this weekend i started my port engine. i tried stating my starboard engine and was draining my battery. i hit the parallel switch and tryed stating the starboard again. it imediatley shut down my port engine and i no longer have elctrical power to it. Does anybody have any ideas?

What motors,..?? What drives,..??

Mercruisers have large circuit breakers on the top starboard side of the motor. Hit the reset buttons and see if power is restored. BTW- if power returns, you have a large short somewhere in the electrical system and need to check it out before you have a fire.
