I am looking to setup a Rotary Steering system for this motor. I'm looking to go with an NFB Single Cable system and have one question: How do I know if I need a Transom Support Kit? Thank you.

No tilt tube on that motor so pretty sure you do.

You should save a few bucks........a 18hp motor will not give you much feedback at all

Yeah good point. A barebones UFlex rotary system will work great for your application.

Check this out. It would be perfect for your motor - provides a tube and connector for motors that don't have them. I prefer them over transom clamps. They work better and don't restrict your aboulity to tilt the motor.

try cable steering; that's what I used on my 18 on a 13' whaler

that 18 fastwin is a great motor
