stalls when hot

I have what i believe to be a 1970 evinrude triumph 60073d -60hp. it runs great until it heats up then it stalls at lower speeds. Any ideas?

Compression and spark ok? Idle speed set to proper RPM? Any loose fittings in the fuel system? Might be time to check the throttle linkage for proper adjustment.

dropping a coil perhaps? electronics can sometimes konk out due to excessive heart. just a guess.
