Can anyone tell me if Johnson lower units have a part # on them somewhere so that you can identify What it came off of? I have a 65ESL73R that has a different waterpump kit than what is suposed to be on it according to the manual and all web diagrams. Im not sure just how to figure it out. If I look up the housing or plate , it tells me that its for a much later model (79-99). That just doesnt sound right. would that much later leg even fit on a 73? Any help would be most apreciated.
