Hi folks. Brand new here and found this site browsing answers to my latest problem. I have a no start issue on the above mentioned engine. When I try to key start my starter turns but the small cog piece does not move up to the flywheel. Any tip are appreciated.

Could be a couple of issues, that gear flies out based on centrifugal force, if your starter is spinning slow, if the sleve bushings are dry, if your battery isn't up to snuff, it may not work. Make sure that the shaft is clean and lightly lubed with something like 3 in 1 oil. That end piece can be purchased seperately if needed.
