It's in my 1967 Mark Twain Vsonic 18' x 10' boat.
I know it's 150hp.
I know it's a straight 6.
It says mercruiser marine on the side.

Please don't say it's a 150hp mercruiser marine engine...

I'm looking for any detailed-general info on it.
Is it made by GM or Ford or did Mercruiser make there own engines back then?
Is there any repair or tech manuals for it?
Anyone familiar with these engines that can give me some tips bleh, I dunno anything?
Also if i needed to replace the engine could I buy a newer one that would still bolt up to the lower unit or would i hafta get the same engine or rebuild the current one?

She's running rough so I need to know the in's and outs of her if I plan on having any fun in the water.

Thanks in advance for any info you can give.1.jpg2.jpg

Looks like a 250cid GM powerplant, can't tell you much more than that. I just brought home a junker 18ft mark twain with that same motor in it.

Yeah that looks like the Chevy straight 6 250cid. Our 1963 3/4 ton truck had a straight 6 230cid. Same block just stroked different I think.
