Had all the carbs rebuilt last season because it was time, leaking and so forth. Got it back, runs great at low idle, get on plane but when i throttle up at about 3000 rpms it just bogs down and want to die. I did notice that the primer bulb was not full and hard so after pumping it up it runs like it should and then repeats the problem. Is this a fuel pump problem? Clogged pick up screen? Ethanol poisoning?

Was thinking about switching to external tank and test it again to try to isolate the problem.

Sounds like a fuel restriction. Does the problem shows at different rpm`s 3500, 4000 ?? Go with a portable tank and let us know.

Yes, the probllem just gets worse past 3000 rpms and just can't get up to 3500. If the pick up screen in the tank is clogged, i was thinking of disconnecting the fuel line at the primer and using compressed air to unclog it.
