HI, im new to the forum and was hoping you guys can guide me in the right direction!

My 150 oceanpro takes off on plane fine with lots of power but it seems like the
rev limiter kicks in at only 4200 rpms. One time it went up to 5300 rpms for like
3 minutes then it did it again. I shut the motor off and start it back up and it runs fine
as long as I stay under 4200 rpms. Any thoughts please?

There is no rev limiter at that RPM. The powerpack might limit RPMs, but that would be at 6400RPM. Does the primer bulb collapse? Can you pump it manually and keep the motor going? Are the main strainer and other fuel filters clean?
