I have an 84 mercrusier 170...ran great after new points, plugs, wires, condenser. Stopped for a swim and would not start back up. I have fuel, oxygen, but very little fire to coil.......so i replaced points, coil, checked all the basics.....any ideas which way now?

Thanks jeff

so you know you have low voltage at the coil (+)??

but you replaced the coil and points??

sounds like you need to check the reason for low voltage at the coil

Most coils have low voltage because they have an external ballast (normal thing). What voltage do you have at the coil?
