I've been a member for quite some time but never posted. I've researched many of these restoration threads and had big plans for my boat until I lost my job; gotta love the oil industry. Got a great new job 2 years ago and I've held on to my Sea-Doos this whole time and I just kept looking at the boat thinking "I'll get to it someday". Well my Sea-Doos and trailer got stolen this holiday weekend :( so looks like it's time to start working on the boat with the insurance money.

It was my parents' boat that they purchased new when I was in Jr. High (I'm 27 now). It hasn't seen the water in about 6-7 years but it has always been covered in their driveway. It has a 5.7L Mercruiser with a new block; they forgot to winterize one winter since they never took it on the water but they paid the price. I know I will need a new floor/carpet and planning to remove the B2B seats for new Monterey captains chairs. Other than that just buffing out the gelcoat, new battery, new tires, and I'll be ready to hit the water. I'll get some pics up as soon as I have some time to take them.

I do have plans for adding the swim platform, all new audio system, and possibly a wake tower in the future. I figured this would be a good starter boat to learn on before I dive into a huge payment for a wakeboard boat.

PS If anyone sees or hears about the Sea-Doos or Trailer below please notify me or the police. Stolen in Midwest City, OK a 2000 RX (~215hrs) with custom seat/mats and a 2008 RXP-X (~15 hours) on a Dorsey trailer with wake guides and WeatherTech chest. Thank you.
