1960 merc 300 controls

Hi folks,
I just bought a 1960 merc300m and the controls the the gentleman gave me was a two lever Quick Silver set up. Is this the correct control set up ?
Or did the 1960 motors use the single lever MerControl ?

I bought a 1960 Glastron Starflite, also with the 1960 300. It has the two handle control setup. The engine runs so well that I put it on my pontoon boat untill I can figure out what is wrong with my 650.

The old Glastron is in the driveway with the floor cut out. Previous owner didn't pull the transom plug and it sat for years with water against the floor.
