Need new prop

Hi all- I've got a 48 78120 A40 19P on my '95 Rinker 180 3.0. Unfortunately the prop has seen better days.

I bought the boat last year (my first boat :D). Motor runs good but wot only gets me to 4100-4200RPM @ about 39-40mph (which I don't think is too bad).

I'm wondering if changing to 17P would yield both a better hole shot and the same, or even a bit better, top speed?

To be fair, I don't want to spend a ton of money- but would like a spare so do want to get a second prop.

I'm not unhappy with the boats performance but at the same time I want to be sure I'm not leaving something on the table. I also want to be sure I'm running as efficiently as possible given the cost of gas etc.

I'd say my primary use is tube / ski pulling. I love doing full speed runs- but that does not happen often.

Thanks

Re: Need new prop

U'd try the 17" P you should pick up a few hundred RPM and it will most likely give you similar top end with better low and mid range performance.
