I'm at wits end trying to figure out tapping noise towards rear of 470, sounds like aa lifter tap. Installed new lifters , still tapping at idle and and gets louder when reving up.
Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks
there is a plug at the back of head that rusts out it lets exhaust leak out number 4 cylinder it get loud when you rev it up. check this out see if it's rusted
