Ok If someone can please help me. I had a treat earlier and I tracked my problem all the way to the fuel pump. My 1984 Evinrude pump is a no wire pump. I didnt know I had to order the harness 174710 with it and no one has it in stock anywhere in my province. I called one place and they asked me if I definatly needed the warning beepers installed. I said no I dont need them at all. He said then just hook it up and use it without the warning beeper harness. Is this possible? Will the fuel pump work without this ? Please let me know asap. This motor problem has cost me half my summer already. Please help me if you can, I dont want to lose another weekend or two.
