I just bought a 1986 Norris craft with a 200 mercury, it runs great, has great "pee", water pressure is 3-5 at idle and climbs to 13-15 when your hard on trottle.The temp reads 1/2-5/8th scale at idel and when you run down lake the thing pegs. No alarms or anything but top of dial. As soon as you come back to idel it returns to the 1/2-5/8th position. The guys I bought boat from had it for 5 years and says it has always done this but it worries me. The lower unit has a new impeller in it, the engine has 120 psi of compression on all 6 by my equipment and make no mistake, this motor does run extremley well,starts well also (even after a 5 mile run with temp reading high) so any one share their thoughts with me?
