Hi,
we just bought our first boat. Its a 1987 19ft (18' 7") bayliner capri cuddy cabin & Im trying to determine which model it is & the size of the engine (assuming it hasnt been replaced). When I tried to look up information online, there were several different models: the 1600, 1900, 1950 & 2150 cuddy. What are the differences between these & how can I tell which one we have? I added a couple pics of the boat, but I dont have any of the inside (dont know if differences on the inside make a difference in determining the model), but I can get some if I need to. I found a 2150 cuddy online, that looks like ours (some of the other models did too though, so Im still not sure if ours is a 2150). I'll add the link that has pics of the inside until I can post actual pics from our boat. Thanks in advance for any answers or suggestions :) (If I remember right, ours has a solid floor, where as it looks like the pic in this link has some sort of door or hatch between the two front seats...dont know if that makes a difference)

I'm no expert on this, but our old Bayliner Capri was a 2150. That equates to a 21' boat with a cuddy. Using that I'd say your boat is a 1950.

Welcome to iBoats . Here is the Bayliner Customer Care phone # 360-435-8957 . Have your H.I.N. # ready when you call. They sent me a photo copy of the manual for the boat in my signature below free of cost ! You will find the H.I.N. on the starboard transom pressed into the hull.

Standard power for that boat was 3.0L (inline 4) or 4.3L (V6 motor), usually Mercruiser Alpha I gen I

Welcome to iboats!

You appear to have a 1950 Cuddy

Standard power for that boat was 3.0L (inline 4) or 4.3L (V6 motor), usually Mercruiser Alpha I gen I
Bayliner used OMC outdrives during this era.
