Hi all, thanks in advance for all who reply, i have a 1987 evinrude 90 v4 that the last couple seasons would very intermitenly lose power after running at WOT for long streches. If i backed off throttle and back on it would run fine again. sometimes noticed power loss on take off after running WOT then idled slow speeds. Yesterday ran WOT to no wake zone, in no wake at idle speeds it started to lose power. I put it in neutral and reved it up with throttle lever, only reved to roughly 2000 RPM (I dont have a tach) throttled down, tried to put in gear, dies instently. Restarts right away idles great, tried 15+ times wont run in gear. Had to be towed back in. To note, tried pumping fuel bulb when going in gear, din't help any. When boat was running and power loss felt, it did not feel or sound like a miss fire ( more like i was dragging an ancor) boat would still get to plane, just took twice as long. Got up to full speed once on plane. Any thoughts? Thanks again
