Re: towing weight

1500kg max for that, you will be near the upper end of that limit with that boat but still should be within reason.

Re: towing weight

There's no way in this world I would do what you're talking about!!!

You car will pull that boat on dry flat ground, but what're you going to do about stopping it on flat dry pavement, let alone down hill in the rain?... and trying to pull that boat out of the water up a wet launch ramp will be very disappointing.

This should open your eyes to what I was saying in my previous post. Especially if there's a good hill somewhere on your trip.

You do realize there are motorcycles out there with bigger and more powerful engines than the one in your car?... and that the differential in your car is geared for economy and not power/towing?

Why not play it safe and have a friend with a proper tow vehicle tow your boat for you.

Re: towing weight

Rent a U-Haul truck for the day, if you are looking to just haul it 70 miles and leave it for a while. Or find a friend w/ a good pickup and offer him some gas money, some beers and a meal if he'll haul it for you.

I wouldn't pull any trailer bigger than a 4x6 with that vehicle.

Re: towing weight

And if the original poster is subscribed to the thread he might post a reply if he ever found out the weight. Or someone else might know

Maybe if you started your own thread you might get a better response. When someone opens it they won't see it's three years old.
