1965 evinrude lark 7 prop doesnt spin

OK so these motors when there not connected to a battery and the motor is not running. The electric shift should put it in neutral right? And I could have swore you should be able to spin the prop by hand when its in neutral.

No not right. Forward is default. In till power is supplied to solenoid it should remain in gear. Turn key on with lever in neutral and it should spin. Good luck and post back

heres the problem i dont have the controls. But thanks now i know.

Just for thought, pull rope and see what direction it spins! The prop that is!

you were right its in forward by default :D which means my leg isnt broken yay

OK so how would i get it to shift into neutral then would i need a battery or would it be able to start in forward by pulling the pull start.
