My Evinrude motor start spitting out oil/grease from the propeller area. Can anyone tell me what this might be from? I do very little work on the motor so not real good at this.
The motor is older.

It would help to have a model number but if I had to guess I would say you have some fishing line or something in your prop seal. Take the prop off and see. If it is bad you need to replace it. Also, check your lower unit oil and make sure that it is not milky. If it is water has gotten in.

Have to check on the model number - but yes we did find some fishing line. How do you replace the seal? Is that easy to replace?

really need the model number but if you get the prop off you can probably figure it out. Do you have any idea about what year it is?
