I have the following Volvo Penta Engine/Outdrive on my 1998 Cobalt 220:
Engine Type: 5.0Gi PBYCCE
Outdrive: DP-S1
The outdrive leaks down over a period of a day. I have not seen any issues with bringing the drive either UP or DOWN. Sometimes it will stay in the UP position, but most of the time will fall back down to the Motor support clips (of course, the clips are there only when the boat is on the trailer) like the one on this link...
iBoat Part Number: 18-9098 (Motor Supports - Sierra)

I have looked for leaks from the Power Trim Motor all the way to the Cylinders and there is no visible sign of leak on connectors or the hoses.
I think the leak is internal to the Power Trim Motor/Tank, and have been searching this forum for anyone else who may have had this problem and a possible solution.
Any advise or pointing to a Forum thread on the topic would be greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance
