mercury idle problem

have rough idle. 04 -90hp 2 stroke.at idle moter shakes.give throttle cough run cough cough run . runs good at full .new plugs all are wet with fuel. good spark all plugs 7/16 gap.did not do comp. test dont have one.pulled carbs clean. sprayed with carb cleaner put back on same no change.tried to adj. carb still same. any ideas about to give up.:facepalm:

I had the same problem with my 2008 Merc 50 hp . Engine would troll nice at idle for 15 to 20 minutes then hiccup and stall . I checked my plugs they were wet . The factory "Idle mixture Screws were at 1 1/4 turn out ...I moved them to 1 1/8 turn out and problem solved . It was simply running a little too rich and was loading up after a while . The engine ran fine at all other speeds , but not when trolling for fish . I hope this solves your problem !
