It was more work than expected, but I got it back together--and now I'm fretting about a few things:
200 HP Evinrude
a) Why no gasket between the lower end and the upper engine block? Is it full of water there anyway?
b) I'm not positive I checked the pump housing to be sure that inner cup was seated properly before I bolted everything back together. I'm assuming I would have seen a huge gap if it wasn't? Hopefully?
c) Also, I'm trying to recal how I bent the flipper arms back as I rotated that cap onto the impeller. Can I assume that if any of the arms was backward it will just flex itself right back the correct way?
Thx for the help around here.
