I have a 86 starline with merc 120 and alpha 1...when I shift into gear the interrupt switch engages, forward and reverse. If I push slowly to forward it will go into gear but not if I go at an normal speed and it is dieing going into reverse every time. I dont know what it is but was thinking maybe the cable going from the mount on top of the engine going to the drive? What do you think??
