I have a 1984 85 h.p. force outboard that currently has a 13x19 prop and runs about 35 mph and 4600 rpms at WOT. I am looking to go to a 13x17 prop to increase the rpm's to the 5000 range and found a 13-3/4x17 prop. will this one work for my motor? what kind of performance should i expect? thanks for your time.

Re: Prop question

the size and pitch will work..is it hubbed for your motor?? 4600 RPMs is too low. you did not mention the boat you have it on, must be kinda heavy. a 15 pitch prop would put you more in the recommended range, I think 5400-5800 is the range for that motor, but I am not sure. you will get a better hole shot with either

Re: Prop question

The boat is a 16.5 ft bayliner capri it gets on plane pretty quick but just not hitting the higher rpms
