Does it matter if you use a 2 ring piston if all the rest are 3?

I'm replacing 3 pistons on my '73 merc 115. I looked up my part numbers with a part finder on a website and it's showing me a 2 piston ring kit. Is there a difference between the 2 ring kit and the 3?

You may mix and match them anyway you want. However, the rings do not interchange. The two ring pistons take keystone rings. The three ring pistons take rectangular rings.
