I do not know what a "totor" is. A trip/tilt switch may be installed on most Merc cowling's where the motor has the PTT device mounted on the motor (vice in the boat). A round PTT switch (marine grade only) is the way to go if you can find one. A marine heavy duty SPST switch would likely work as well.
