What do you mean Bypass it ? its the place where the 300v from the under flywheel coils charge a capacitor which gets discharged into the coil to give you a spark .....its essential you cannnot do without it .??? Testing is done by measuring charge coil output . trigger coil continuity and coil continuity if they are not faulty the switch box is ...dont crank engine with plug leads off ..easy way to wreck it .
